The Enemy is not Calories but Toxins that cause weight gain.
For decades, we have been told that the key to losing weight is to simply burn more calories than we consume. This idea is the foundation of every diet and weight loss program out there. But despite the millions of people who have tried to lose weight through calorie restriction, the majority of us are still struggling with excess weight and all the health problems that come with it. So what gives?
According to a growing body of research, the real reason diets don’t work has nothing to do with calories in and calories out. Instead, it has everything to do with toxins that are lurking in our food, our water, and our environment. These toxins are known as obesogens, and they are reprogramming our hormones to store fat, not burn it.
What Are Obesogens?
Obesogens are a class of chemicals that disrupt our hormones in such a way that they encourage our bodies to store fat. They can be found in a wide variety of products, including pesticides, plastics, and even some household cleaning products. When we are exposed to these toxins, they can disrupt our hormonal balance and make it much harder to lose weight.
How Do Obesogens Work?
Obesogens work by reprogramming our hormones, specifically our metabolism-regulating hormones, to store fat instead of burning it. This process happens when obesogens enter our bodies and interact with our cells, specifically the cells in our adipose tissue, or fat cells. These cells are responsible for storing excess energy in the form of fat. When obesogens enter our bodies, they disrupt the normal function of these cells, causing them to store more fat than they normally would.
To make matters worse, obesogens can also disrupt the function of other hormones in our bodies, such as insulin and leptin, which are responsible for regulating our appetite and metabolism. When these hormones are disrupted, it can lead to an increase in hunger and a decrease in metabolism, making it even harder to lose weight.
Why Don’t Diets Work?
Despite the fact that diets have been around for centuries, they simply don’t work for the majority of people. In fact, studies have shown that 95% of people who go on a diet will regain all the weight they lost within a few years. The reason for this is that diets don’t address the root cause of weight gain, which is obesogens. By focusing solely on calorie restriction, diets fail to consider the fact that our bodies are being bombarded with toxins on a daily basis.
The R2M Protocol
The good news is that there is a solution to this problem. Two new peer-reviewed studies by Dr. Paul Arciero, published in the Nutrition Journal and the Obesity Journal, have shown that a revolutionary new approach called the R2M protocol can not only remove toxins from the body but also help people lose weight safely and quickly. Unlike traditional diets, which rely on calorie restriction, the R2M protocol focuses on two key components: intermittent nutritional fasting and protein pacing.
Intermittent Nutritional Fasting™
Intermittent nutritional fasting (INF) is unlike traditional fasting, which involves going for long periods without food. INF allows fasting that is supported by flooding the body with massive amounts of nutrition (not calories) that prevents the body from going into starvation mode and thus burning lean muscle which is what happens on a intermittent fasting. This is a game changer in that people are able to gain lean muscle mass despite losing tremendous amounts of weight quickly and safely.
Protein Pacing® was created by Dr. Paul Arciero one of the world’s leading nutritional researchers for more than 35 years.
Protein pacing is a way of eating that involves consuming small, frequent meals throughout the day that are high in protein. This approach has been shown to be effective at reducing hunger and increasing metabolism, both of which are key components of weight loss.
The Results in the two peer-reviewed studies (base on the R2M protocol) were so much more than just losing weight. People saw a 25% reduction in inflammation, a 33% reduction in visceral fat and a dramatic decrease in weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and triglycerides. These results have never been seen before in any scientific study.
