Health Conversation Why Diets are Failing Us – Episode 3

Dr. Paul Arciero and his two peer-reviewed studies published in the Nutrition Journal and the Obesity. The studies proved that the old “calories in, calories out” approach to weight loss and overall health is no longer effective in the long run. Instead, a holistic approach that includes Intermittent Nutritional Fasting™ and Protein Pacing® is recommended. Dr. Arciero’s studies have shown that participants using the R2M protocol lost weight 12 times faster than on intermittent fasting or any other diet protocol ever studied.

It’s important to note that Intermittent Nutritional Fasting™ is different from traditional intermittent fasting, in that it focuses on assisting the body in removing toxins from the body and reducing visceral fat.  Additionally, participants in the Arciero study gained an average of 6% lean muscle mass despite not exercising, which is a significant result.

Peter Greenlaw started The New Health Conversation® movement, based on the premise of shifting the focus from weight loss but also focusing on reducing the five factors (overweight, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, and high triglycerides that have been identified as causing 92.6% of the U.S. population to be metabolically unhealthy. In the Arciero studies all five of those metabolic factors went down significantly in just thirty days.

The the scientific evidence is clear that the old “calories in, calories out” approach is no longer effective and a holistic approach that includes Intermittent Nutritional Fasting™ and Protein Pacing® is the way to go for sustainable and effective weight loss and to maximize your quality of life potential.
